The following projects must receive written permission from the Architectural Review Committee BEFORE A BUILDING PERMIT IS OBTAINED and BEFORE WORK BEGINS to avoid fines or a stop-work order being placed on your project:
any project requiring a City of Corvallis building permit;
building or replacing a fence adjacent to or facing an ODHA common area or public street;
painting your home’s exterior (with the same color or when changing the color scheme);
adding solar power or solar thermal collectors to a house or accessory unit;
replacing a roof on a home.
Projects that do not fall into one of the categories listed above must still follow the published ODHA Architectural Guidelines to avoid penalties and requirements, though no application is necessary.
